Implant Dentures

Do your dentures feel loose, making it difficult to eat properly?

Do you ever worry that your dentures might fall out in public?

Although dentures are one option to replace missing teeth, they may not always fit you properly. This is because when there are no teeth in the jawbone, it starts to recede or disappear over time. You might think that you have to accept your loose dentures as a part of life – but they don't have to be! Thanks to advances in implant dentistry, denture stabilisation allows you to enjoy your favourite foods again and feel comfortable smiling, safe in the knowledge that your dentures are staying put.

Denture stabilisation is a technique that involves your dentures being anchored down in your mouth with dental implants. These small metal implants are placed at specific areas in your jaw and begin to integrate with the bone which makes them firmly settled. Then your dentures are fixed on top of the implants with a range of special fixtures. This means your dentures can still be removed for cleaning, but will stay put once in place.

Your new teeth will look like natural teeth while at the same time you have less irritation of your gums or the inconvenience of having to use denture adhesives.

Dr Andrew Legg has a great deal of experience in placing implants to stabilise dentures. He is passionate about the use of dental implants in helping restore patients to a more natural form and function and believes this plays a pivotal role in improving the quality of life and general health in patients.
